IC Info
Name: Peter Petrelli
Canon: Heroes. Specifically the alternate Exposed future
Age: 32. The exposed future takes place in 2011
Appearance: Peter has short dark hair that he keeps slicked back and hazel eyes. He has a scar cutting across his face. Usually he's clean-shaven but he does sometimes let stubble grow on his jaw and upper lip. He stands at 5'8” and has taken to wearing dark colors.
Canon Point: 3.04 “I Am Become Death” when he's shot by Claire
Background: Peter's main history + Exposed Future
CRAU: n/a
Personality: Cynical: Peter has seen a lot of ugliness in people over the past four years. Because of that, he sees people and the world in a much more jaded way. He no longer believes in the good of other people. Everything he's been through forced him to lose his innocence and optimism, leaving him with a negative view of things. It's also skewed his own moral compass, leaving him more okay with murder or other questionable behavior for the greater good.
Stubborn: Once Peter sets his mind on something, he will dig his heels in and keep going no matter what other people might say. He refuses to listen to advice or warnings, or even consider alternatives to what he's doing. Peter usually tends to ignore such advice and warnings, especially if it's trying to talk him out of doing something that will make him out to be “extraordinary” or be a hero. It's rare for him to back down and actually listen.
Guarded: Peter cares too much about everything and everyone, and that has bitten him on the ass enough times that he's learned to guard his emotions. He's more wary and less inclined to trust. He tries not to get close to people and even people he should be close with, like his family, are kept at a distance and treated more coldly.
Impulsive/Reckless: Peter has a tendency to leap first and ask questions later. He doesn't usually go into situations with any sort of strategy or plan. He simply acts, trusting on his instincts and adrenaline to get him through. He also has a low sense of self-preservation. He puts himself in danger without hesitation, sometimes putting others in danger either directly or indirectly.
Weaknesses/Temptations: Hero Complex: Probably his biggest weakness is Peter's hero complex. He feels like he needs to be the hero and save everyone, and that he's the only one capable of doing it. So the best way to tempt him with this is to tell him he can save people if he did a certain thing. Since he is more morally gray than before, he would be inclined to do questionable things if he believes it will ultimately save the world.
Pride: As much as Peter might want to pretend he helps people out of pure altruism, a lot of his motivation is because he wants to be extraordinary and save the day as the hero. He wants to be special, so it would be pretty easy to tempt him into doing something that would make him feel that way. So anything that requires him to use his powers or test the limits of his powers would be a temptation to fuel his pride.
Anger: Another huge weakness for Peter is his anger. He has a lot of it because of what he's been through the past four years: anger at his brother for telling the world, at his niece for aligning herself with Pinehearst, at other people for abusing abilities. Just taking away his powers would be enough to spark his anger, but there are other types of situations that could trigger it. It honestly wouldn't take much to tempt him into lashing out violently with his anger. He does that pretty well on his own.
Alcoholism: Peter uses alcohol as an added measure to suppress his emotions and some of his abilities-- like empathy and telepathy. Since he's used to healing from it, he didn't really learn when to stop. With the generous supply of alcohol in hell, ti would be no effort at all to tempt him into becoming a true alcoholic.
Sins: Manslaughter: Isaac was trying to kill Peter when Simone was caught in the crossfire. Peter being Peter, he blames himself.
Inflicting third-degree burns: He lost control of his ability and Nathan flew him away so he could explode safely. Nathan barely survived.
Attempted murder: He tried to kill Sylar in Kirby Plaza. He also could have killed one of Ricky's crew, and only didn't because Caitlin stopped him. One could argue Peter didn't intend to kill Nathan, but he did put Nathan in critical condition and would have done it again. His bomb also could have killed Claire and Daphne had they not escaped.
Robbery: He assisted Ricky and his crew in robbing a place.
Murder: Yes, again. It's because of him that Caitlin's brother Ricky was murdered by Elle.
Stranding a woman in time: Peter took Caitlin to an alternate future and then accidentally left her there. Since Peter later changed the course of history and eliminating that timeline, Caitlin was basically erased.
Conspiracy to commit mass murder: Peter didn't know he was agreeing to this when he teamed up with Adam Monroe, but he still feels guilty about it.
Identity theft: Peter impersonated his younger self.
Conspiracy to commit murder: Peter planned out how and when he would shoot Nathan.
Assaulting a police officer: Matt is a notable example of this, but it's likely Peter did this a lot as a terrorist.
Stranding a man in Africa: Not only did he send Matt there against his will, but Matt could have died from heatstroke or dehydration.
Suppressing a person's consciousness: He put his younger self in Jesse's body. Since Peter was in control the whole time, it's safe to assume Jesse's consciousness was suppressed.
Terrorism: Along with blowing up Pinehearst, Peter has conspired with other terrorists. He confesses to something at a chemical plant and the port, which are likely more bombs or attacks on Pinehearst agents.
Mass murder x2: Peter blew up a building that killed 200 people. He was also indirectly responsible for Gabriel going nuclear and killing people when he blew up.
Time manipulation: By going back in time, Peter altered the course of history. And because of that, so many bad things happened. Including but not limited to...
Torture/Assault: Claire was attacked by Sylar, which Peter says wasn't supposed to happen. Younger Peter was also tortured in place of future Peter. Then younger Peter tortures his mother while under the influence of Sylar's power, which future Peter told him to acquire.
Murder: All the level 5 convicts who escaped went on a killing spree. This might not have happened if Peter hadn't gone back in time. When Peter finally found his younger self, he simply took the other and left while the level 5 escapees were robbing a bank and threatening lives.
Robbery: Again, acts committed by level 5 escapees.
Powers/Abilities: Empathetic Mimicry: Peter can mimic any ability from another Evolved human. I play this as only applying to other Heroes characters and only with permission. I also play the “empath” part literally, meaning he can feel other people's emotions. He currently suppresses that side of his power, though, and I would ask mun permission before he does it.
Prophetic Dreams/Paintings: Ability to see the future through dreams. He can also paint specific moments in the future. Another ability that will be taken away.
Flight: Ability to fly. Obviously.
Time-Space Bend: Ability to bend space and move from one location to another. Also able to bend time by going to the past or future, or stopping time. He can take people along for the ride as long as he's physically touching them. Obviously he'll be losing this ability.
Invisibility: Ability to turn himself and anyone he is physically touching invisible.
Rapid Cellular Regeneration: Ability to heal from injury and regrow body parts. His blood can also heal others. He can heal in Hell, but it's slow and he still feels the pain.
Telekinesis: Ability to move things with his mind.
Telepathy: Ability to hear thoughts as well as imprint thoughts on another person. I don't do this without mun permission.
Induced Radioactivity: Ability to control radiation. Basically can become a human bomb. At a lower degree, can create electro-magnetic pulses. He'll be losing this one since I don't really want to mess with it.
Super Strength: What it says on the box.
Phasing: Ability to phase himself and anyone he is physically touching through solid objects.
Illusions: Ability to create illusions. From what canon has shown, these are usually pretty simple, like projecting a different appearance or making the viewer think they are in a different location. Again, only done with mun permission.
Possession: Ability to transfer one person's consciousness into another. I'm more than happy to get rid of this one.
*There are a lot more he's been exposed to but I'm going to go by the rule of if he didn't use it in canon, he didn't absorb it/has no access to it in game. Mostly to preserve my sanity.
Items: Peter doesn't actually have any personal items he would care about. He will come with the godsend necklace gifted to him by Rene, though. That's really all I can think of.
